What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this site, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, company if you include one, any promo code, and your message. Our systems also record the time of your enquiry and basic technical information such as your browser type.

Why we collect it

To reply to you. That's it. We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange bookings. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We don't sell your details and we don't add you to marketing lists without asking first.

Where it lives

Enquiries are stored securely on Amazon Web Services in the London region, and email is sent through AWS on our behalf. AWS acts as our data processor.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details while we're in conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you'd like your details removed sooner, email us and we'll delete them.

Cookies and analytics

We use two analytics tools on this site, both to understand how people use it so we can make it better.

Google Analytics 4 is Google's site analytics service. It sets first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_G-XX7DQ62FBM) that identify your browser and session so we can see aggregate patterns like which pages get visited, in what order, on what device, and from which referrer. Data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, and may be transferred to the United States under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. IP addresses are truncated by Google before storage. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity sets two cookies (_clck and _clsk) and records anonymous session interactions: mouse movement, clicks, scrolls and which pages you visited in what order. This helps us spot where the site is confusing or broken. Clarity masks the text of form inputs by default, and we have not enabled session recording of any field that contains a name, email address or message. Data is processed by Microsoft Corporation and may be transferred outside the UK under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can opt out of Clarity at clarity.microsoft.com/optout.

Embedded content from third parties (YouTube videos, the Google map on the location section) may set its own cookies if you interact with it. Those are governed by the third parties' own policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@granary.digital and we'll sort it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
